Confined-space pipe inspection capture

Pipe and vessel crawler inspection in confined assets with RGB or RGB-D, pose, and defect-view metadata.

This is a custom capture program for pipe and vessel crawler inspection in confined assets. Operators drive your crawler through client or staged pipe while we record imagery, pose, and defect-view labels, including slip and lighting dropouts. It exists because interior geometry, moisture, and darkness produce perception failures that an outdoor UAV pass does not contain.

What we collect

Crawler trajectories with defect views across diameter, lining, and lighting. Slip, standing water, and aborted sections are labeled so evaluation can tell a complete run from a stuck or blind one.

How capture works

A pilot checks camera exposure, tether or wireless logging, and the defect taxonomy, then capture scales across spools with confined-space safety rules. Collection follows robotics data collection; lost traction is an edge-case target.

Who it is for

Inspection robotics teams whose crawler must finish a run in real assets. The program sits under inspection robotics data collection and is distinct from UAV bridge inspection, which is exterior and aerial.

Scenario FAQ

Yes, with owner access, gas and entry rules, and a safety review agreed during scoping. Mock spools are available when live vessels are not practical.
