Delivery Robotics Data Collection
Sidewalk, curb, and campus capture for last-mile robots, hatch handoffs, and pedestrian interference—not on-road AV or warehouse aisles.
Delivery robotics data collection captures the sidewalk-height navigation, curb crossings, campus paths, and hatch-handoff behaviors last-mile robots perform among pedestrians and street furniture, with the interference and weather that break policies between blocks. Operant scopes capture to your platform and service area, with synchronized vision, LiDAR or depth, and consent-aware public-space logging. The result is delivery-robot training data matched to the curb, not an on-road AV stack or a DC aisle.
Sidewalk and campus tasks
Programs include path following at sidewalk height, curb and ramp negotiation, door or hatch opens, package load and unload, and slow navigation around people and bikes. Concrete scenarios include sidewalk last-mile delivery and curb package handoff. On-road multimodal driving stays on autonomous vehicle data collection. Distribution-center pick and AMR aisles stay on warehouse robotics data collection; a campus path is a different height, traffic mix, and handoff problem.
Modalities
Cameras, depth or LiDAR, IMU, and hatch or gripper state are aligned through our multi-sensor synchronization service. Public sidewalks and campuses need consent and minimization workflows like those in privacy and consent on-site.
Tail behaviors
Blocked paths, aggressive pedestrians, wet curb, hatch jam, and failed handoffs are capture targets via edge-case data collection, not noise to filter out.
Safety and ops
Capture follows municipal rules, campus access, and pedestrian-path plans agreed in scoping. We do not treat a sidewalk robot as an on-road AV program.
FAQ
Is this AV data collection? No. Delivery robotics data collection is sidewalk, curb, and campus work at pedestrian scale. On-road AV programs are separate.
How is this different from warehouse AMR? Warehouse programs cover DC aisles and racks. Delivery programs cover outdoor pedestrian paths and last-mile handoffs.
This vertical is part of Operant's broader robotics data collection practice.
