Curb package handoff capture

Curb and porch package handoff manipulation with RGB-D, place outcomes, and surface-condition metadata.

This is a custom capture program for curb and porch package handoff. Operators demonstrate place, release, and recovery on real stoops and curb faces while we record RGB-D and gripper state, tagged with place outcomes and surface conditions. It exists because last-mile drops fail on uneven concrete, cluttered porches, and awkward box sizes that a warehouse conveyor handoff does not contain.

What we collect

Handoff episodes with place-success labels across package sizes, surfaces, and access types. Tipped boxes, blocked stoops, and recovery regrasps sit beside clean drops so evaluation reflects the doorstep, not a bench.

How capture works

A pilot validates camera views at stoop height and the outcome taxonomy, then capture scales across addresses or staged facades. Demonstrations use teleoperation capture inside the robotics data collection process.

Who it is for

Delivery robotics teams whose last failure is the place, not the route. The program sits under delivery robotics data collection and pairs with sidewalk last-mile delivery for end-to-end coverage.

Scenario FAQ

Yes. Package sizes, drop surfaces, and access rules are scoped to your robot and deployment before capture starts.
